Logistics in the Czech Republic is now entering its mature phase, but there is still plenty at stake. With the cards having been dealt already for the booming car industry, the country’s expanding on-line retail sector continues to produce growth. But this will likely have to take place outside Prague, where developers have taken over virtually all of the available land and are facing difficulties convincing political obstacles from municipalities in their search for new plots. Outside the capital, developers aren’t just struggling to find land, but to find it in locations that still have an available supply of skilled, affordable labor.
Five CED-Logic forums in Belgrade, Budapest, Bucharest, Prague and Warsaw, will be held during September 2017 to February 2018, with a focus on each countries local logistics market, with a broad cross-section of influential local and international experts, as well as key figures from corporate end users, property developers, investors and city officials. Each forum will focus on the healthy growth of the sector and how best to overcome the current barriers. Special focus will be paid on setting priorities for transport infrastructure, the future of the industry in design and concept.
